Hello all you out there in Internet Land!! It has been more than 4 months since our last post and lots has changed. We have moved into a house in the mountains outside of Boulder, Colorado. We are getting the boxes unpacked and beginning our new life in Colorado.
We had a fairly easy winter as far as snow is concerned (we are told) but decided to head south to get a little warmth. Ten inches of snow is predicted for this weekend so we are happy we are headed towards warmth.
So, I have not been to Texas since I was a teenager and Buzz has never been here. Our first stop is Amarillo. Our day started with a stop at Home Depot to buy a can of spray paint and then on to Cadillac Ranch. What a hoot! A bunch of hippies (one was a very rich hippie) called the Ant Farm installed this outdoor art installation in 1974 dedicated to the greatness of the Cadillac tailfin from 1949-1963. They buried 10 caddies in a wheat field a few miles out of town. The tailfins are long gone as are many of the doors, tires, hoods, etc. The Caddies now sport layers upon layers of spray painted graffiti. Thus, the reason for our Home Depot stop. We added our little touches to the constantly changing art work.
One disappointment was all the garbage people left behind…spray paint cans, roller trays, whole cans of paint! We picked up as many as we could carry but did not make a dent. But we ended up with a bag filled with almost full spray paint cans…what the heck, right!

Sorry, I am pooped…will finish Amarillo tomorrow!
Yee Ha. Great fun to see Geezer posts again. Safe travels you two.

Congratulations on your new home! It’s so nice to hear about your new adventure and the timing sounds perfect to miss the spring snow storm. I’m not much of a traveler so I always enjoy hearing about the trips of others. Hope you are both well. Happy Spring.
