The people at the U-Haul place are such jerks! On June 22, we called at 10 in the morning to see if we could get the trailer one day early because rain and storms were predicted for packing day and they said it was due back at 11 and call back after lunch. We called back after lunch and they said it wasn’t back yet call back in a couple of hours. When we called that time they told us the trailer wasn’t due back until the 30th of June! At this time Buzz proceeded to flip out on them a little bit and they had to drive a trailer from Hershey Pennsylvania for us. What idiots…. we made this reservation a couple of months ago! But Buzz finally got the trailer here at about 7:30 and we headed over to the storage unit. We finished a little bit after 11 o’clock.

The next morning there was no big storm…oh well….I guess it was better to pack the night before then get some rest before heading out.

Over the last month we have stayed at Ruth and Jerry’s for 4 nights and we were treated like royalty. Ruth served fabulous meals; Jerry helped us load the trailer; he mowed our lawn for us the day before closing because he knew we wouldn’t have time. Ruth prepared the guest room for us so we wanted for nothing. Buzz and I are both orphans at this point….Ruth and Jerry are the closest we have to parents…but, more importantly, they are our close friends and perpetual cheerleaders. Saying goodbye to them was extremely hard. May our paths cross again sooner rather than later, dear friends.
