Onboard today about 1:00. Found out that the port stop for tomorrow was cancelled due to weather and that we were not even leaving port until tomorrow. Oh well. They did have a shuttle that would take us to see the front of the Little Mermaid so Jackie and I headed out. Cold and Rainy but we did it. She is pretty but very small. The artist wanted a prima ballerina to pose for the statue but she would not pose nude so he used his wife’s body and the head of the ballerina. We sailed from Copenhagen at Noon on Thursday, July 2 (Happy Birthday, Nicholas!). Ended up being very busy between a lecture, Trivia, entertainment, etc. We had dinner at one of the two specialty restaurants, Polo Grill. Jackie and I had lobster and Paul had a steak. All were good.

A bit about the ship: We are on Oceania Insignia. It is relatively small, about 650 passengers. There is a spa and a fitness center and several large space venues for entertainment, a pool and hot (actually warm) tubs, and a casino. I am impressed with the variety of things they have going on: classical music on one spot, a piano lounge in the martini bar, a comedian/magician, an expert on Norway and Norwegian history, Trivia games (way too hard for me) an art scavenger hunt, and lots more. Our cabin is large enough for us all but we have to juggle around each other sometimes. But we all have room to store our stuff. Our cabin steward has been wonderful and overall the food has been great. Weather has been a bit iffy, as far as starts out chilly and by afternoon you are shedding layers! Feels like home!
